Save 25% Off of Coobie Seamless Bras

Every women can appreciate a comfy bra. When I find a good bra, I want to make sure to share it with all that will listen. Recently, I was introduced to Coobie Seamless bras that claimed it was The Most Comfortable Bra Ever. I was up for the challenge to find out. First, let me tell you a little more about The Coobie Store's Coobie Seamless Bras.
A good bra can make all the difference in how your day goes. A bad bra can be irritating, painful, and just uncomfortable, which can just add to having a bad day. It is also important to have a bra that is the right size and made with material that is comfortable. I have bought many bras in my lifetime, all different brands and honestly it one thing I hate most shopping for. The Coobie Bra is a bra I recently came across while surfing the internet and I was super excited to check out.

2012 Holiday Gift Guide: tea collection's HOLIDAY clothing {Review & $100 Gift Certificate Giveaway}

Featured Sponsor

If you are looking for the perfect holiday children's clothing for your kids this season, look no further than Tea. With their approach to fun and exciting prints, {ace} will again be dressed extra fashionable and to the nines this year!

About Tea

Founded in 2002, Tea, based in San Francisco, designs distinctive Kid's Clothes as well as women's clothing that is inspired by the beauty they discover in their travels around the world. Inspired by classic Asian styles and colors, they had the vision of bringing a fusion of worldwide cultures and modern design to children's fashion.

From the art of traditional Korean patchwork to the graphic boldness of Brazilian street graffiti, Tea designers interpret their discoveries into beautiful, modern and consummately wearable Children's Clothing for ages 0-12.

WHY THE NAME TEA?
{source: teacollection.com}

Tea, the drink, is shared in nearly every culture around the world. Being Tea is about experiencing life together, even when we're not in the same place. It means taking the time to understand and honor our differences. In doing so, we become closer.

ace and friends thoughts

Tea Collection’s amazing holiday lines continue to be inspired by their latest destination: Nordic Design. They were inspired by Nordic designers that create "beautiful things for everyday use." What they discovered in their travels Denmark, Sweden and Finland were bold, eye-popping colors, not only on the people, but their pets too.

Upon returning home, this Nordic design were interpreted as clean and modern with the charm of handmade crafts. The results of these travels were original prints and styles that reflect their nod to the Nordic culture.

While venturing through Sweden, they found LOTS of geometric prints which inspired tea's designers to create their own... the results are seen in the shirt on {c} and the dress on {e}.

on {e}: mode triangle layer dress w/ skinny stretch leggings
on {c}: alpine hoodie & awesome cords on {a}: daisy chain mini dress w/ sparkle stripe leggings

Each piece of clothing is always made with exceptionally soft material that I have grown to love from Tea.  In addition to the super soft material, the design and quality are continually apparent in this year's holiday collections.

My little dude looked super cool in his Alpine Hoodie and Awesome Cords. {c} thought the hoodie was comfortable and not too hot (which he complains he is... A.lot). He really liked the slim fit of the cords. With skinny pant as the new style... he felt these were perfect to wear to school. I love that Tea always stays right on trend.   {a} and {e} looked so sweet in their adorable outfits including: Mode Triangle Layer Dress w/ skinny stretch leggings in Cosmic Berry and Daisy Chain Mini Dress w/ Sparkle Stripe Leggings in Vermillion.

What I truly love about Tea is their introduction of new styles and gorgeous prints with each new season. Tea's creativity never ceases to amaze! Their attention to every detail is what makes Tea one of my favorite kid's clothing designers.

If you are in the market for the perfect mix and match collection, make sure to take a look at their hand-picked wardrobe sets that groups the best pieces to coordinate together for everyday wear or to dress up for that holiday extravaganza.

So if you are looking for that perfect outfit to wear this holiday season, make sure to look no further than Tea. They will have just what you need to create that picture-perfect look!

I love the uniqueness of these prints... and the style of these outfits... they're going to make one FABULOUS holiday photo card!

Thanks, AS ALWAYS Tea... for keeping {ace} in style!

2012 Spring Fling Guide: SNUG Camisoles *Bra Friendly Tank Top* {Review}

Featured Sponsor
During the spring and summer, I find myself in search of a new perfect camisole or tank top. I recently was introduced to an amazing *one size fits all* tank top by SNUG Camisoles. Although they offer a variety of different styles, I absolutely fell in LOVE with my new favorite, Bra-Friendly Tank!

About SNUG Camisoles

Established in 2008 by sisters, Adrienne Katke and Pamela Broder, SNUG Camisoles offers a collection of seamless wear designed for women of all shapes and sizes. SNUG Camisoles’ one size fits most designs can be worn by a size 0 or a 24 largely in part to the unique material that is designed to mold to the body creating a perfect fit. With the large collection of colors and affordable price point, SNUG Camisole can be a staple in everyone's closet.

ace and friends thoughts

SNUG Camisoles Bra-Friendly Tank is exactly that... BRA FRIENDLY. The straps on the tank itself are thicker to cover up the straps of your bra. It's still one-size-fits-most and has the same great features as their Basic Long Camisole.  Certainly a must have for your collection!  Available in 30 different colors... you will find one that suits your needs.

Product Features
  • Reinforces your belly
  • Molds to your body
  • Hides your bra line
  • Super comfy
  • Perfect for layering and transparent tops
  • Hides your “muffin-top” line
  • Super long length hides your backside in low-rise pants
  • Hides protruding belly buttons
  • Great to tuck into pants or skirts
  • Great for working out
  • GREAT for expecting mothers
I love my new turquoise Bra Friendly Tank. It's perfect under a variety of shirts or is great as a stand alone tank top. The material is quite soft, has great stretch and fits very well. Two things I really like about SNUG Camisoles Tanks is {1} they cover my bra straps and {2} they are long enough and don't ride up.

SNUG Camisoles also offer their famous, one-size fits most Basic Long Camisole, as well as Cap Sleeve Tees, Ankle Leggings, Capri Leggings and much more!

If you are looking for the perfect Spring children's clothing for your kids this season, look no further than Tea. With their approach to fun and exciting prints, {ace} will be dressed extra fashionable and quite comfortably this season!

Tea Collection’s amazing Spring collections continue to be inspired by their latest destination: Bali. Their inspiration travels are shared through a series of photos and stories that translate into their new Spring lines. Lots of fun. Lots of vibrant colors and unique patterns. Everything necessary to create the most adorable Spring attire. Emily summed it up best when she said:

In Bali, your are surrounded and embraced by happiness. You can see it on people's faces - a mix of dancing celebration and transcendent, spiritual bliss. - Emily

From Tea's Bali Safari collection, {ace} is more than ready for Spring. Tea's Bali Safari boys tees are an island full of Bali fun -- scooters, tigers, elephant kings, crocodiles, frogs and more. Additionally, they also created some fun new silhouettes for girls, including the knot dress in 5 ikat and batik inspired patterns.

Each piece of clothing is always made with exceptionally soft material that I have grown to love from Tea.  In addition to the super soft material, the design, colors and quality are continually apparent in this year's Bali Spring collections.

My little dude looked so cool in his Tiger Jungle Tee and Surplus Playwear Pants. He loved the fun abstract tigers and thought the pants were very comfortable to run, jump and play in all day long. What I really liked is that the pants were super durable for {c's} extra boyish fun!  {a} and {e} looked so sweet in their adorable outfits including: Pasar Floral Dress, Happy Henley Playdress, Indonesian Batik Dress and last but not least the Starling Batik Playdress. The smocked waist and flutter sleeves give these dresses that little added extra special touch that look quite adorable on the girls. The girls (as well as I) loved the new colors and prints, making them the perfect additions to their Spring wardrobe.

2011 Holiday Gift Guide: Karen Kane {Review & $100 GC Giveaway}

Featured Sponsor

If you are looking for the perfect holiday women's clothing this season, look no further than Karen Kane. Their approach to stylish AND comfortable clothes will keep me looking and feeling great not only this holiday season but that and beyond.

About Karen Kane

Karen Kane’s approach to fashion is simple – she designs clothing for the woman that wants to feel comfortable without sacrificing her sense of style. Always on the go with her family and friends, she proves that it is possible to look smart, sexy, and sophisticated all at once. Created with longevity and versatility in mind, Karen’s collection is one you’ll wear for life.

Karen Kane (of course the brand's namesake and also it's chief designer) is one of the most respected names in women’s apparel today.

In the beginning, Karen and her husband Lonnie, shipped her first collection from their own garage in December 1979. Fast forward to today, and you will see that the company has grown into a 130,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Vernon, California. Karen’s collections are featured in department stores and specialty boutiques nationwide.

As I love to shop, I have been scouring the stores and internet for some fun looks to wear for Christmas and New Year's. With that said, I have found many that I can wear for those two occasion as well as throughout the season at Karen Kane. Check out some of my favorites below:

ace and friends thoughts

The Banded Knit Stripe Dolman sweater ($112) (above) has now become my FAVORITE go-to sweater. It not only super modern and stylish, it's the most comfortable sweater in my own collection. As I am not a huge fan of horizontal stripes, I was a bit concerned of how it would look once on my body. The style of this sweater not only feels great, it looks amazing too. I think that the Banded Knit Strip Dolman sweater would be quite flattering on a variety of body types. The stretchy jersey knit banded hem and sleeves is the perfect compliment to the complete this sweater.

Every New Year's Eve, we like to get dressed up and go out to celebrate with our friends. This is the one night that I get to get out of my yoga pants and sweatshirt and into something special. Luckily for me, Karen Kane's Rose Ruffle Dress ($148) is not only stunning, but extremely comfy. I was a bit leary when I read that this dress was made of polyester/spandex fabric. You are probably thinking (as was I)... ugh, polyester and spandex.... really? No one looks good in polyester and spandex! When it arrived, I was shocked. It was super fabulous in person. Karen Kane takes the term "little black dress" to the next level. The small ruffled roses make this dress fun, unique and sophisticated all at the same time! Not only is this dress beautiful, it over the top, comfortable!

Coming this January 2012, Karen Kane will introduce the {Sweet Dream} collection. This collection will feature pretty pink, deep navy, and lots of novelty prints making January a month to celebrate. Fun, feminine, and flirty, it's the perfect start to 2012! (Take a sneak peek below.)

If you are in the market for the perfect outfit for the upcoming holiday season or just for everyday wear, make sure to turn to Karen Kane, you won't be disappointed!

T.J.Maxx + Marshalls = Back To School Shopping Fun!

School has been in session for just about three weeks now and thankfully I have finally finished picking up one final outfit for a.c.e., thanks to my favorite stores T.J. Maxx and Marshalls.

For those that know me, both T.J. Maxx and Marshalls are two of my ALL-TIME favorite stores. I always find amazing deals throughout the store and for the Back To School season, they certainly didn't disappoint. Lucky for me, I have access to several different locations that I can shop often. I know each time I visit either T.J. Maxx or Marshalls, I will find something super fabulous that I know is much less expensive than in a department store.

About shopping at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls

TJ Maxx and Marshalls offers first-quality, name brand and designer merchandise - the same brands you see at the mall and in the department stores, but for much less, usually 20-60% less! Discount stores may offer similar prices as off-price retailiers, but the difference is in the quality of merchandise. TJ Maxx and Marshalls buyers are trend experts. They are constantly traveling the world and watching runways to keep their pulse on the cutting edge of fashion. These buyers work with designers directly right up until the last minute of every season to bring the latest trends straight to consumers. Each week, every TJ Maxx and Marshalls store receives 10,000+ new items to restock shelves and fill racks with the most up-to-the minute fashions.

Mom Central Consulting & T.J. Maxx Online Survey

TJ Maxx and Marshalls teamed up with Mom Central Consulting to conduct an online survey this past August (2011). They wanted to identify back-to-school (BTS) shopping habits. (Approx. 1,000 moms with a minimum of one child took the survey).

Take a look at these interesting results:
  • 60% of moms do most of their BTS shopping a few weeks in advance, however 25% wait up until the last minute
  • Nearly 50% of moms shop at just 2-3 stores
  • One third prefer to shop at "one-stop" stores rather than specialty stores
  • 81% of moms said that the rising costs of living negatively affect their family's BTS budget
  • To help moms balance what their child/children WANT vs. what the budget allows, it took compromise, spreading out purchases, budgeting as well as understanding WANTS vs. NEEDS/DURABILITY
  • 75% of moms sometimes agree with their child's fashion choices
  • 81% said they MUST HAVE a backpack
  • 84% say sneakers are the most important type of back-to-school footwear

ace and friends thoughts

As I mentioned previously I absolutely LOVE TJ Maxx and Marshalls! It's amazing how much you can really save at these stores for trendy and fashionable clothing for your kids (and your whole family). I was thrilled to find three amazing outfits for my kids for just under $50. Three entire outfits! Seriously, I know friends and family that spend $50 on just one item.

For {c}, I found this Kenneth Cole Reaction outfit - which included the two-in-one hoodie shirt and jeans that would typically retail in a department store for $54, was only $16.99 at T.J. Maxx. Seriously, it's hard to find a pair of jeans for that amount.

{a} loves her dresses and leggings. Both TJ Maxx and Marshalls carries a wide selection of dresses and a variety of different color leggings. I was able to find this adorable dress on clearance for $7 and the legging were just $6.99. Of course, she LOVED her new outfit. She said... "it's sooooo fashionable!"

Finally, little {e}. I found this Paper, Denim & Cloth outfit - including a top and pants, which would retail in a department store for over $50, for just $7.99. I couldn't believe my eyes... or the price tag. My best find yet!

So, how was my shopping trip overall? First, when shopping at either store, you need to set aside a little time to do so. To me, it's not much different than shopping at a big box retailer or department store. The store is organized by department and sizes are grouped together. New items are generally located on the endcaps. To me, searching for clothes at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls is like a treasure hunt. At the end of the treasure hunt, I find my buried treasure. It's definitely worth the trip and experience. My final thoughts: I would DEFINITELY recommend T.J. Maxx and Marshalls for your BTS shopping needs!
