Nutrisystem - Week {4} Complete {sort of...}

Featured Sponsor

It was a crazy week four and I'm happy to say that it's over. With the stomach flu running through our house, the unfortunate last thing we all really wanted to do was eat. I did my best in trying to maintain a Nutrisytem meal plan, but with an uneasy stomach, the most I could muster to eat was toast. While most of my week was kept busy with sick kids, I was thrilled to find some Nutrisystem items that I could still stomach, including Golden French Toast, Italian Wedding Soup and Milk Chocolate Flavored Pretzels (even with a sick stomach, there's always a place for chocolate, LOL) Don't these look deeee-lish?

My promise for the next post, is (1) to get back to 100% {or at least 95%} (2) continue on my Nutrisystem journey (3) lose lose lose!

Weight Loss: -1.5 lb. -  hmmm... i'll take it, sickness or not!

Final Thoughts For The Week: Sickness runs rampant - wreaks havoc on household. blah! Looking forward to next week. Week 5 = strong healthy and strong!

Ready to join my on my Nutrisystem journey. Still unsure or on the fence.... discover the TRUTH about Nutrisystem. It's time to do a little mythbusting - Nutrisystem style!

Nutrisystem - Week {3} Complete

Featured Sponsor

Week no. {3} on Nutrisystem is DONE! Struggled this week. Mainly, in part, to this...

my girl, P!nk.

Every now and again, a girl really needs time with just her girlfriends, especially for a MUST see concert such as P!nk (well, purely for sanity reasons too) . And that we did... unfortunately, along with attending a concert, comes cocktails and snacks. Now, if you have ever dieted, you know that cocktails and snacks are typically a NO NO. Too many calories! So, with the concert at the end of the week, I was a not looking forward to stepping on the scale. What would be the results of my falling off the wagon? That was to be seen.... On the upside, thank goodness I hit the gym this past week. I was hoping that it would help me cancel out ALL of those empty calories.

If you've been following me on my journey, you will remember that last week, I was struggling with getting hungry while on the road. Good news, I've been keeping my tasty Nutrisystem snacks in the car for those moment when the hunger pang sets in! So... my goal from last week has been obtained. Ahhhh... SWEET SUCCESS!

This past week, I've also discovered some very delicious Nutrisystem dinner options... Here are my TOP three from this week:

Turkey & Italian Sausage Pizza - Yep, you get to have pizza on Nutrisystem. my fav.

Chili with Beans - Super hearty and quick to make. Perfect on a cold winter day! Topped with a dollop of light sour cream. mmmmm....
Lasagna with Meat Sauce - Who knew lasagna with pinto beans in it could be so delicioso!

And NOW the moment I was dreading uncertain about ...

Weight Loss: -1.0 lb. -  YES! (Total so far down -4.0 lbs. - yeah baby!)

Final Thoughts For The Week: Although cocktails are delicious and P!nk along with a GNO are fun, the empty calories are NOT worth it... (ok, P!nk and my girlies was a little worth it). week #4 here I come!

Thanks for all the support while I'm on the Nutrisystem journey. It means the world to me!

Nutrisystem - Week {2} Complete

Featured Sponsor

Week no. {2} on Nutrisystem is officially complete! I made it. I have to admit, it's been easy to follow, with only a few minor temptations throughout the week. There was a time or two that I got extra hungry at times, but that was my own fault for not planning my meals/snacks appropriately. I was traveling in my card and didn't have a handy and convenient Nutrisystem snack available, but I now keep a stash of snacks in my car! The Nutrisystem prepackaged snacks are super helpful when on the road!

My favorites from this week:

Blueberry Muffin - Perfect warmed up with a few sprays of butter!

Chicken Noodle Soup - Love it on these cold winter days!

Cheese Ravioli with Basil Tomato Sauce - can't go wrong with pasta, especially ravioli

Ice cream sandwich - enough said.

Nutrisystem - Week {1} Complete

Featured Sponsor

Week no. {1} on Nutrisystem is now complete! Hooray I made it (and even through a Girls Night OUT!). I do have to say, I did "fall off the wagon" a bit during my GNO, but overall, I have to say... it was quite successful. I consciously made better food decisions knowing that they were going to be recorded in my daily food tracker! In addition, I also got some exercise in this past week! Nutrisystem is pretty simple to follow and for a mom of three kids, SIMPLE is key for me. What I liked most so far about the program (and call me silly if you like) but each meal is color coded. Did I mention I {heart} simple. I just open my pantry or freezer and pull out the appropriate meal time *color*. Lovin' it! So... I want to share with you some of my all time favorites from this first week.

Favs so far...

Breakfast Time (color code {BLUE}): Cinnamon Streusel Muffin, Homestyle Pancakes, Vanilla Protein Shakes (w/ frozen strawberries mixed in.), Sweetened O's Cereal.
Lunch Time (color code {ORANGE}): Steak & Cheese Melt, Kung Pao Noodles, Loaded Baked Potato, Margherita Pizza.

Dinner Time (color code {RED}): Ravioli Formaggio, Vegetable Lasagna, Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza
Dessert/Snack Time (color code {PURPLE}): Zesty Herb Snack Mix, Honey Mustard Pretzel Bits, Milk Chocolate Flavored Pretzels, Red Velvet Whoopie Pie (deelish!)

Unfortunately, with the good, there are a few NOT so good.

Breakfast - Garden Vegetable Omelet - I just could not get past the texture of the omelet. It's flavor was ok, but something about it just wasn't great.

Lunch - So far, the lunch time has been quite successful. I am a little leery to try the chicken salad... will keep you posted.

Dinner - Risotto (ick, this will certainly not make my fav list next time).

Dessert/Snack - Everything has been quite tasty. I love me some desserts and snacks!

Now... drumroll, please.

Starting Weight: Ugh. You don't want to know.
Weight Loss: - 2 lbs. (suuu-weet, considering GNO shenanigans!)

Final Thoughts For The Week: Food was much better than in previous years. The program was SIMPLE to follow. NOW... need to stick with it... onto week #2.
