Paper Jamz Pro Microphone {Review & Giveaway}

Our family LOVES all thing music, especially singing along to all of our favorite songs, so you can just imagine how thrilled I was to find out that Paper Jamz introduced an incredible new product series of Pro Microphones. This series allows kids (and adults!) of all ages to not only sing, but sing with rockstar-quality vocals!

About Paper Jamz Pro Microphones

Unlike other Paper Jamz products that let users make music with a touch enabled-print, the Pro Microphone is a real mic, which comes included with a small 4x2 inch box to be worn on your belt. Paper Jamz turns up the volume with the rocking new online-compatible Pro Series. Never be embarrassed to sing in public again. With cutting-edge, real-time technology, the Paper Jamz Pro Microphone lets anyone sing like a pop star. You can sing a duet with the artist or go solo and become the artist. Using unique Perfect Pitch™ technology, the new microphone analyzes and tunes the singer’s pitch in real-time, with five separate modes: Solo/Duet, Auto Harmony, Auto Vibrato, Chorus, and Auto. As you sing, the Pro Mic instantly transforms your voice, giving rockin’, Grammy-quality vocals to even the least-experienced crooner!

ace and friends thoughts

Paper Jamz Pro Microphone was easy and delightful for the kids. The box is easy to use and it can hold 2-3 songs at a time depending on the length of the song. Although the Pro Microphone came with two preloaded songs, we immediately wanted to add our own sing-along tunes. After downloading an easy to use application from Paper Jamz (below), we loaded three of our current favorite songs.

Pro Microphone Application
To load the three songs on to the Pro Microphone, you first connect the box to your computer via USB cable. Once connected, songs can be uploaded to the app and then in turn be transferred to the box itself. After loading the songs we attached the box to {a}'s skirt and she was ready to sing, sing, sing along with her favorite artists. Check her rockin' out (ok, maybe not rockin' out, but you get the idea) below:

There were a few things in need of improvement: {1} the ability to load more than three songs at a time. {2} buttons are too sensitive and if you happen to touch the song button, the music turns off and you have to start the song over. {3} a wireless microphone would be easier, the cord could become inadvertently disconnected.

Finally, although the Pro Microphone is geared toward ages 8 and up, all of my kids (ages - 8, 6 1/2 and 4) had a great time singing along to their favorite songs. The kids are on their way to becoming singing sensations!
