Today, my kids are exposed to much more than I was when I was their age. With access to the internet, they have information at their fingertips... well information and so much more.
With a tween girl in the house, she certainly spends time on the computer/internet, not only for homework purposes, but for playing games (educational and fun) too. I was recently introduced to website, Sweety High that is not only fun, but a safe environment as well.

tween material, but the site is pretty advanced in its design and the
variety of features it offers -- videos and music, opportunities to enter and win prizes, and even an original Web series (see above). The tutorial are quite helpful and assist users in getting started.
When you create a user profile, it's only visible to friends and you can create parental controls on younger users' accounts, and the site provides lots of safety tips. You can also create video blogs, but content is moderated by Sweety High making it appropriate for teens and tweens too. Overall, Sweety High is a sophisticated site that is fun and safe place for my tween to catch up on her pop culture!
