Prefense Botanicals Alcohol Hand Sanitizer {Review & Giveaway}

Do you find yourself saying... wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands...  or do you find yourself frantically looking for that wipe before you grab that shopping cart? I am DEFINITELY guilty on both counts. With all the germs that are lingering about, I am glad to introduce you to a product that safely kills bacteria, viruses and fungi for 24 hours. (Or 10 hand washings) Prefense is made of all natural ingredients and has no alcohol in it and is non-toxic and completely safe if swallowed.

About Prefense Botanical Hand Sanitizer

  • No alcohol! Prefense is made of all-natural ingredients and has absolutely NO alcohol in it.
  • Protects you for 24 hours or 10 hand washings.
  • Prefense is non-toxic and safe for kids. It will not hurt you if swallowed!
  • Prefense is silica based which means it doesn’t dry out your hands like traditional alcohol sanitizers.  It actually smoothes and softens your hands. You can totally see this when you apply it!
  • Prefense protects against staph, strep, E.coli, drug resistant MRSA strains, and more. Fight germs that other hand sanitizers can’t.
  • Because “one spray lasts all day” our 1.5 oz Prefense Botanicals Hand Sanitizer offers 120 applications, costing only $.08 per day, compared to $1.20 per day with alcohol hand sanitizers.

ace and friends thoughts:

I noticed that when I applied Prefense, it was a little sticky, but once dry, it left my hands feeling smooth.  The kids tried it too, and it was easy to dispense from the bottle. Dispense from the bottle, let dry and you are good to go... for 24 hours or 10 hand washings. I found that I only needed to apply it twice during the day! Very convenient! The bottle is small enough to throw right into a purse, gym or school bag.

  6. I think hand sanitizers do a good job of killing microbes--very valuable when on the go! But I think it takes soap and water to completely clean the hands and flush away dirt and germs.

  12. I think some hand sanitizers work. I believe that alcohol based sanitizers are better than antimicrobial sanitizers, in that germs do not build a resistance to alcohol.

  45. Ready for a novel on the subject? I think they are better than not washing hands at all. I think they are good (very good, in fact) up to a point. With smaller children, if you can get them into the habit early, then I think it's great. I, for one, worry just as much about the sanitizer getting into their eyes and such after they've used it as I do the sanitizer killing germs. But, YES, I think they are overall, a good thing.
