When working out, I am ALL about the headband. If it's out there, I've tried it. Honestly, it's been quite the task to find a headband (a super cute headband, that is) that you can run, step and just plain work out in without it slipping right off your head. Let me tell you, I've come across a fabulous line of not only fashionable, but functional headbands by Sweaty Bands.

The Girl Behind Sweaty Bands

Donna, a married mother of three, has been teaching group fitness classes and personal training for 20 years. She started making Sweaty Bands as a way to supplement her income. Donna has an obsession with having the freshest tunes to keep her students motivated. Her entire paycheck was going to new music! Selling a few Sweaty Bands out of her gymbag was a way for her to keep buying music and also pay for continuing education. Her few headbands turned into a full- blown business. Sweaty Bands are the hottest fitness accessory on the planet!!!  Its simple design is lightweight, but provides heavy duty hold.  Made up of hundreds of different prints backed with velvet lining, Sweaty Bands grip and hold your hair all without slipping or causing breakage.  In addition to being a must have fashion accessory, Sweaty Bands are essential for workouts. They soak up sweat without dripping and keep those wispy little hairs out of your face. 

What are Sweaty Band  Options?

Sweaty Bands are available in Thin (5/8" - 1") and Thick (1 1/2") widths. The color and style selection is amazing. Anything from Sports, to prints, to solids to metallics. There is DEFINITELY a style to please everyone. Here are just a couple of styles that I absolutely LOVE and will be purchasing in the near future.

So, did the Sweaty Band hold up to it's Claim?

First, the prints, super cute. My hair is pretty long, therefore I opted to try the thicker band first. The fit was pretty comfortable. The velvet lining held the headband perfectly in place. Throughout class it definitely didn't move. As for the thin band, it performed just as well. Both are stylish enough to wear casually while going out too. In addition to Sweaty Bands, Sweaty Bandits are also available. The only difference between a Sweaty Bandit and Sweaty Band is that they are designed for a smaller head. They typically fit the head of about a 3 or 4 year old up to about a 6 year old. Perfect for my girls. Only thing that I wasn't fond of... handwashing the headband. Of course, that won't stop me from buying more.
