Zuvo Water Purator Filtration System Review and Giveaway

Featured Sponsor

I don’t know about you, but I refuse to drink water out of the tap. Don't ask me why, I guess I've always had this strange association of BAD tasting water from the sink faucet. Although there is always the *faucet* option, our family mainly drinks bottled water. I know, SAD, but true!  As you can imagine this can get rather expensive. I was researching different water filtration systems for our family when I came across the Zuvo Water Filtration System.

What Is the Zuvo Water Purator?

The Zuvo Water Purator is a water filtration system that replicates nature's water-cleansing process, reducing contaminants while preserving your water's natural and healthy mineral content. Over time, Zuvo costs a fraction of what you'll spend on bottled water or pitcher filters.

The Zuvo Water Purator can either be installed directly to your kitchen faucet or hidden from view below your sink.

How It Works:

The Zuvo Water Purator™ uses a patented five-step process to produce clean, healthy, great tasting water...just the way nature intended!

Above Counter

Step 1: Ozonation

In nature, ozone is generated by lightning and cleans the air where rainwater forms. The Zuvo Water Purator mixes ozone with incoming tap water to treat taste and odor contaminants and improve taste. Like chlorine, ozone is a powerful oxidizer. Unlike chlorine, ozone leaves no chemical residue.
Above Counter

Step 2: Ultraviolet Light

The ozone saturated water is flooded with high-intensity UV light - the same as the solar energy that cleans water in the upper atmosphere.
Above Counter

Step 3: Photo-oxidation

The Zuvo Water Purator combines UV and ozone in a patented process known as photo-oxidation which releases powerful oxidizers to further treat the water.
Above Counter

Step 4: filtration with lead removal

Pure spring water is created by passing through fine particles in the earth. Zuvo uses the same principle by passing water through a Class 1 Particulate Reduction Filter, reducing chlorine taste and odor, lead, and tiny particulates.
Above Counter

Step 5: post-filtration UV

The filtered water is again exposed to high-intensity UV light as it leaves the Zuvo Water Purator, ensuring that you get clean, healthy, great tasting water...just the way nature intended!

Is the Zuvo Water Filtration System Cost Effective?

Although it may seem that a pitchered water system would be more cost effective, over time, it's not. With the continuous changing of filters for that system it will get pricey. The Zuvo system will be the better value over time. See how it compares below:

ace and friends thoughts:

So… does it work?  After a few weeks of using the Zuvo, I have noticed a distinct taste difference in our tap water.  It tastes just like bottled water. Really, I kid you not!  It looks really cool on the counter top and everyone who sees it comments on how neat it looks.  The kiddies like LOVE to watch the water bubble through the Zuvo as it fills their cups.
Setting up the Zuvo system above the counter only took at couple minutes.  It is pretty much ready to go, out of the box.  Simply plug the unit into any grounded electrical plug, and screw the nozzle onto the faucet.  The unit must then be run continuously for 5 minutes prior to actually drinking any water.  Under counter system set-up requires a more in-depth set-up and it also requires a faucet butler which we currently do not have on our sink.

As we are were a plastic water bottle drinking family, we have greatly reduced the number of plastic water bottles we recycle and the Zuvo Water Filtration System is certainly helping us eliminate the water bottle issue in our household. A *win* for us!

Every little bit helps. With Zuvo, you can make a difference by not adding to the more than 60 million plastic water bottles that end up in our landfills every day. Doesn't that make you feel good? I know it makes me and my family *smile*.

  1. If your Zuvo Water Purator is installed on the countertop and you use the diverter assembly with your faucet, you can run normal tap water through your faucet without using the Zuvo Purator.
I like this because I can still use regular, unpurified water for cleaning or boiling water without using the filter.
